Its March break – and I am home with the little ones.  Yes. Yes. Lucky me. I know that. But what you may not know is that if I were to step foot out of my house –perhaps to enjoy the vastness of my backyard that I have not seen in months,  I would be waist deep in s*&^.  S(*& has become a new curse word in my vocabulary. For the last few days – all its done is S*&^, S*^&, and S*&^.  S*&^ is piled so high on my front lawn – I can’t see my neighbour’s driveway anymore. If they had ‘fallen down and couldn’t get up’  - there would be trouble!

Saturday night we nearly STARVED – because every parking lot in Toronto was piled un-plowed and there was no way to enter or exit a parking spot without shoveling your way through. Now perhaps you might see me as a difficult individual, but having to shovel my way into your establishment does not a happy customer make. When the disks in my spine need to be reorganized – I don’t think food will be top of mind. So off we went – after 20 minutes being stuck in a Milestone’s parking lot – driving around the 27 like vagrants looking for a place to safely eat. There were none. All to be beheld were seas of S*&^, cars stuck in S*&^ and we were to afraid to stop the car and get out to help – for fear of drowning in S*&^ ourselves.

And so here at home, on Monday I sit.

The children are downstairs stirring, and I know they are going to ask the dreaded question. “Where are we going today?” to which I am prepared to reply,“WE –are not going anywhere. But if you wish, you can go play in S*&^. Go ahead. Put on your S*&^ suit and have a fabulous time.”  Denise
